Styling tip: combine overknee boots in everyday life
Mailand Fashion Week Streetstyle
When I showed this look on Instagram Stories a few days ago,
the demand for all outfit details was very high among you. Since I like the
look a lot too, Patrick and I shot an outfit post with it and here it is. To my
shame, I have to declare that actually all the pieces are not up-to-date, but
I've tried to find everything for you (the dress is currently on sale, for
example) or at least to find great, similar pieces. Personally, I'm currently
very happy that autumn is finally here. Because for me, autumn is simply the
most exciting time of the year in terms of fashion. Finally you can layer again
:) And that's exactly what I did finished this look ...
Styling tip: combine
overknee boots in everyday life
I'm wearing a cute, rather short dress from See by ChloƩ and
over it a Jil Sander blazer from the flea market in Berlin. According to the
temperatures, I no longer wear sandals in September, but boots again for the
first time this season . My pair is a great, brown suede model, which was
bought almost exactly a year ago at BestSecret for an extremely good price.
Overknee boots often split people's minds, as they are not the easiest shoes
when it comes to chic and elegant styling. But properly styled, they look great
and look great. So here are my top 3 styling tips for you:
1. Use classic and
more muted colors such as black, brown or dark blue: Overknee boots are often eye-catcher enough,
because it quickly happens that you look over- or completely wrongly printed.
Even if shoe colors like white, cream or pink are currently very popular, I
would always prefer classic colors for overknees.
2. Choose heels up to
approx. 8 cm: Everything above that can quickly look a bit too much -
especially when it comes to everyday looks. I also recommend block heels, which
are not only much more comfortable than stiletto heels, but are also more
suitable for everyday use. In addition, the leg is already super stretched, so
you don't need 12cm at all;)
3. Rely on
high-quality materials: You never go
wrong with suede and the like. If you take good care of the shoe, you will still
have something of it after years. I would be careful with cheap-looking
synthetic leather, lacquer or velvet. This can quickly look ugly and ruin an
entire look. Here I would definitely count on quality.
